Reality star and singer Adrienne Bailon—founding member of musical groups The Cheetah Girls and 3LW—adopted a plant-based diet this month. Bailon released a YouTube video this week that took viewers on a tour of her refrigerator as she transitions to veganism. After opening the refrigerator doors, Bailon pulled out a bottle of Califia Farms’ Unsweetened Almond Milk, revealing that her non-vegan husband Israel Houghton uses it for his coffee every day. “And now I use it for a lot of stuff, too, because surprise, I am officially now vegan,” Bailon said. Bailon explained that she loves celery juice (as evidenced by piles of the green stalky vegetable on various shelves), rose water, Ezekiel bread, and raw vegan cheesecake. “The one thing I wasn’t sure that I could give up when I became a vegan was cheese. I’m just too French to give up cheese, you know?” Bailon said as she opened a drawer full of vegan cheeses by Miyoko’s Kitchen, Field Roast’s Chao, and Follow Your Heart. During the tour, Bailon explained that the remaining non-vegan items belong to Houghton, before highlighting her vegan-friendly versions. The double-sided freezer includes Houghton’s side and Bailon’s vegan side, which she stocks with a variety of ice cream, including vegan flavors of Salt & Straw such as Elvis Peanut Butter Banana Split, Oatmeal Moon Pies and Aquafaba Marshmallows, and (her personal favorite) Toasted Coconut Milk and Cookies.
