While NBC proved too conservative for PETA’s provocative veg promo, MTV hasn’t shied away from Compassion Over Killing’s cruelty-free commercials. For the next five weeks, music video lovers across America will have the pleasure of viewing a variety of 30-second pro-vegetarian ads, exposing the truth behind the animal products on their plates. While COK’s campaign cost doesn’t compare to McDonald’s billion-dollar advertising budget, the seven clips, which document the truth behind factory farms and critter cruelty, are aimed at the nation’s most impressionable minds. MTV’s bad rap for nourishing America’s teenage wasteland may change, but do you think teens will change their tune and go veg?
