Dairy company and probiotic maker Nancy’s Probiotic Foods recently introduced vegan yogurt made from oat milk. Made from gluten-free oats and featuring billions of live non-dairy probiotics, the new line is available in four flavors (Plain, Vanilla, Strawberry Hibiscus, and Blueberry) and sold in 6-ounce and 24-ounce containers. “As interest in plant-based options continues to grow, and as a company with a long heritage of probiotic innovation, it made sense to update and offer a new line of non-dairy products,” Sheryl Kesey Thompson, Nancy’s co-owner and Vice President of Marketing, said. “It was important for us to offer a creamy, great tasting plant-based product, while delivering both a protein boost and the beneficial live probiotics that Nancy’s is known for.” The oat-milk yogurt is available at New Season’s Market, Safeway, Haggens, Central Markets, and independent co-ops across the United States. Nancy’s plans to expand distribution across the nation in the coming months.
