Dairy-Free Milk Co. Receives Top Award for Packaging

Plant-based milk manuacturer Callfia Farms recently took home top honors in Beverage World magazine’s annual Global Packaging Design Awards, saying it owed much of its success to the “soft, feel-good” bottle helping the product “stand alone in a sea of standard cartons lining the refrigerator aisle.” Califia’s line of Latin-inspired beverages (including Mango Chili Lime Agua Fresca, Pineapple Ginger Agua Fresca, Strawberry Basil Agua Fresca, and Classic Cinnamon Almondmilk Horchata) were also recognized by the American Masters of Taste Awards as “superior” in a triple blind tasting. The entry of products like Califia Farms into the refrigerated section of grocery stores has helped to catapult sales of dairy alternatives in recent years, and attractive, award-winning packaging can only help to further the appeal of veganism to larger audiences. The company is best known for its vegan almond milk, nut-based creamers, cold-brew coffee, and seasonal beverages.
