Actress Christina Applegate’s all-time favorite vegan restaurant is Crossroads Kitchen in Los Angeles. Applegate and fellow actress Linda Cardellini recently sat down with the New York Times to discuss their co-starring roles as unlikely friends Jen and Judy on trending Netflix series Dead to Me. The actresses reminisced about their previous endeavors—Cardellini’s role on Freaks and Geeks and Applegate’s famous portrayal of Kelly Bundy on Married… with Children—and explained that they had never met prior to filming Dead to Me. “Well, I don’t leave my house,” Applegate joked. “Yeah, I hardly leave either. We both signed on. Then we had lunch,” Cardellini said. “At Crossroads Kitchen, the best vegan restaurant on the planet,” Applegate said. “We were in love from the get-go. People are like, ‘Do you guys really like each other?’ If only they knew!” Applegate has been a long time vegetarian and is a breast cancer survivor who underwent a double mastectomy, a struggle explored on Dead to Me.
