On August 10, food brand Dr. Praeger’s will launch its newest vegan option: Farm Stand Cauliflower Burger, made from produce sourced from New Jersey and New York. The NJ-based family-run company created the burger after witnessing firsthand the struggles of local farmers during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Praeger’s created the burger from produce sourced directly from local farms such as Norwich Meadows Farm and Phillips Farm and will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the Farm Stand Cauliflower Burger to benefit the local farming community. The burger will be available at NY-based supermarket Citarella and for delivery from OurHarvest.com

Last January, Dr. Praeger’s—which is not an exclusively vegan company—launched a new Pure Plant Protein line of vegan meat products which includes Sunday Funday Meatless Sausages, three flavors of “chik’n” tenders (Classic, Gametime Buffalo, and Grandpa Mel’s BBQ), two veggie burgers (the reformulated All American and a new Sweet Heat Beet) and kid-friendly Super Green Veggie Nuggets. Last June, the brand launched the Perfect Burger, a vegan patty crafted from a variety of vegetables (primarily sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and carrots), made to compete with other meaty vegan patties on the market.
