Today, Los Angeles-based vegan pizzeria The Pizza Plant will debut four organic take-and-bake vegan pizzas at 11 Whole Foods Market locations in California. The launch of the new vegan pizzas will involve a fleet of 10 bright-green Pizza Plant food trucks heading to Whole Foods locations across California to give away free sample slices. The 10-inch prepared pizzas are packaged in an eco-friendly, compostable, and oven-safe pizza pan available in the prepared foods section and pizza stations at Whole Foods. The flavors include:

  • Sink Not Included: house-made ancho chilli spiced tofu pepperoni slices and Italian spiced wheat crumble, bell peppers, onions, kalamata olives, mozzarella-style cashew cheese, and marinara
  • Funghi Town: roasted baby portobello mushrooms, broccoli, house-made pumpkin seed pesto, shaved red onion, and mozzarella-style cashew cheese
  • Sinful Yet Guilt Free: house-made Italian-spiced wheat crumble, cured shiitake bits, shaved fennel, mozzarella-style cashew cheese, and marinara
  • Not Your Grandma’s: mozzarella-style cashew cheese and marinara

Last year, The Pizza Plant gained notoriety for adding a monstrous 13-topping, Cannabidiol (CBD)-infused Half-Baked pizza to its menu.
