During a morning television program, Fox 2 St. Louis recently welcomed vegan company Fauxgerty owner Chrissy Fogerty to speak about her cruelty-free fashion. Fogerty explained that the brand focused on animal product-free outerwear that uses exclusively upcycled materials. Her aim, Fogerty said, was to create, “a clothing line in a better way—to be more progressive.” To showcase the line, Hudson called upon two models wearing Fauxgerty pieces. The first demonstrated a hand-painted jacket made from eco-faux leather, while the second showed off both the “Swazey” jacket—a faux suede—over a sweatshirt emblazoned with the word “Herbivore.” When Hudson asked how she achieves the “slick look” of her clothing, Fogerty responded, “Fabric composition has come a long way recently.” Hudson finished the segment with the statement that “sustainability does not mean a drop in quality,” and that people “can look great and feel great about what (they’re) wearing too.”
