Gardein Launches Korean-Spiced Vegan Chicken Wings at Target and Walmart Nationwide

Vegan brand Gardein recently launched a new line of meatless chicken wings, tenders, and nuggets. The new offerings—which contain a proprietary blend of pea and wheat protein—include Gochujang Style Chick’n Wings, Chipotle Georgia Style Chick’n Wings, Nashville Hot Chick’n Tenders, and Crispy Golden Chick’n Nuggets. The items are available at Walmart and Target stores nationwide. Gardein is focusing on expanding its vegan chicken products because it is the fastest growing protein type in meat alternatives, growing 26 percent since February, according to the company. This summer, Gardein also announced the launch of 11 new frozen meals along with a new line of next-generation vegan burgers, hot dogs, and sausages to better compete in the popular segment of the vegan meat category.
