Furniture chain IKEA is promoting plant-based recipes for Earth Day in its current newsletter. On its website, IKEA posted three recipes: Green Power Juice, Raw Cashew Cream with Thyme, and Layered Chia Pudding (which calls for honey but lists agave nectar and maple syrup as substitutes). “Celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd with mouthwateringly healthy recipes made from plant-based ingredients you can grow at home,” IKEA’s newsletter stated. “These recipes will boost your body and mind while bringing you close to nature.” In addition to launching a vegan version of its popular Swedish meatballs in 2015, the furniture company announced in February that it would expand a plant-based hot dog—which it is currently testing at one store in Malmö, Sweden—to its European locations by August.
