Japanese entrepreneur Alissa Miky recently launched vegan crystal candy company Misaky.Tokyo. The crystal candies are made from seaweed (agar agar), fruit, flowers, and vegan cane sugar and formed into elegant crystal shapes by hand without using molds. The process to condense the flavors of the edible crystals takes one week. The crystals are also infused with flavors from around the world, including lavender from Europe, mango from Asia, rose from the Middle East, and matcha from Japan, and packaged in gift boxes that can be reused.

“Misaky.Tokyo crystal treats derive from Wagashi, a healthy Japanese sweet that has more than 400 years of history and are traditionally served with Matcha at a tea ceremony,” Miky told VegNews. “At Misaky.Tokyo we took a modern twist on Wagashi and fused it with Western and Eastern culture. Our brand provides quality time to people all over the world with our tasty treats, whether you are vegan or not.”

Misaky.Tokyo candies are available for purchase through its online shop with shipping to the United States, Canada, Japan, and Mexico.
