On April 28, nonprofit Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) will host its 10th anniversary summit online. PHA founder and former First Lady Michelle Obama will kick off the summit with opening remarks and welcome keynote speaker Ethan Brown, founder and CEO of vegan brand Beyond Meat, along with NBA player Chris Paul—one of Beyond Meat’s brand ambassadors and investors

Obama founded PHA with the mission of improving the health of children through diet and exercise. The event will also feature panels that discuss the importance of introducing children to vegetables early in life to promote wellness into adulthood. “I could not be prouder of, or more energized by, everything we have achieved together to help all of our children lead healthier lives,” Obama said

The PHA summit transitioned to a virtual model this year amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To do its part, Beyond Meat launched the Feed A Million+ campaign and with the help of its ambassadors, including NBA star Kyrie Irving, comedian Kevin Hart, and rapper Snoop Dogg, is donating more than one million Beyond Burgers to those in need during the pandemic.
