An ice cream truck peddling new non-dairy frozen desserts by Swedish brand Oatly recently hit the road in Los Angeles on its “pre-release” tour. The truck is a promotion for Oatly Frozen, a seven-flavor, oat-based ice cream line available in oat, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, chocolate chip, mint chip, and coffee flavors. Packaged in sustainable paper pints, Oatly Frozen will be sold for $5.99 per pint. The line will begin its launch in small retailers in New York City by the end of June before expanding to retailers in the Northeast later in the summer and select retailers nationwide by this fall. Oatly’s truck will serve up treats—including its Oatly frozen line, espresso-based drinks, and “affogat-oats” (a combination of the two)—at the Eat Drink Vegan festival at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on June 22. In the meantime, oat-lovers can find the truck by calling its location hotline at (310) 818-3898.
