Princess Beatrice of York—the elder daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York—has recently gone vegan and is planning to host a lavish vegan dinner for her 31st birthday on August 8, according to media reports. Media tabloid The Mail on Sunday reported that Beatrice ditched animal products following her recent move from New York to London. For her upcoming birthday, she has enlisted the help of London-based caterers The Admirable Crichton to create a three-course vegan dinner menu, including a dairy-free birthday cake. Beatrice isn’t the only member of the royal family to move towards a plant-based diet. Before the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, she openly spoke about how she tries to follow a plant-based and gluten-free diet on weekdays. When she was a full-time actress, she told magazine Best Health: “When I’m filming, I’m conscious of what I eat. I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends.”
