Serves: 1 cup

Makes 1 cup

What you need:

  • 1-1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, rinsed
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

What you do:

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine cranberries, maple syrup, and salt. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally, before reducing heat to medium low.
  2. Simmer for about 15 minutes (20 minutes for frozen), stirring occasionally. Reduce heat if mixture begins to stick or boil rapidly. Cook until cranberries break down and sauce turns a deep red color and begins to thicken. Turn off heat and stir in balsamic vinegar. Serve warm or chilled.
