Makes 1 cup
What you need:
- 1-1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, rinsed
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
What you do:
- In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine cranberries, maple syrup, and salt. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally, before reducing heat to medium low.
- Simmer for about 15 minutes (20 minutes for frozen), stirring occasionally. Reduce heat if mixture begins to stick or boil rapidly. Cook until cranberries break down and sauce turns a deep red color and begins to thicken. Turn off heat and stir in balsamic vinegar. Serve warm or chilled.
