A stunning, raspberry-red mocktail that tastes just like candy? Meet our new favorite drink, which also happens to be perfect for Valentine’s Day.
February 9, 2026
If you really want to wow loved ones on Valentine’s Day, this gorgeous (and easy-to-make) mocktail will melt their hearts. We muddled fresh raspberries with lemon, lime, vanilla, and agave for the most sumptuous extra tart, slightly sweet holiday beverage. To add even more glam, we garnished our mocktails with frozen, agave-coated raspberries that look (and taste) just like glossy candy.
What you need:
For the sour raspberries:
6 fresh or frozen raspberries
1 tablespoon agave (we used the agave from NOW Foods)
1 teaspoon citric acid (this will make the raspberries taste like sour candy!)
For the mocktail:
2 tablespoons agave (we used the agave from NOW Foods), plus 1 teaspoon for glass rims
Salt, for rim
½ cup fresh raspberries
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup soda water
Fresh mint for garnish
What you do:
- For the sour raspberries, coat raspberries in agave nectar. Place coated raspberries on a plate and freeze at least 2 hours (this step can be skipped if using frozen raspberries). Sprinkle frozen raspberries with citric acid, and return to freezer until ready to use.
- For the mocktail, add 1 teaspoon agave to one plate and salt to another. Dip rim of each glass into agave, and then into salt. Fill glasses with ice and set aside.
- Into a jar or shaker, muddle raspberries. Add lime juice, lemon juice, 2 tablespoons agave, and vanilla. Shake or stir well, and strain into prepared ice-filled glasses. Top each glass with ¼ cup soda water.
- Garnish each glass with frozen sour raspberries and fresh mint.
