Rich Tahini Coffee Shake With Dark Chocolate
Rich chocolate, strong espresso, and creamy tahini team up for one dreamy shake.

This luscious shake from the So Vegan in 5 cookbook has coffee in it, which basically makes it acceptable to eat for breakfast, right? We’re going to say yes.
What you need:
For shake:
⅓ cup chopped vegan dark chocolate, divided
2 double shots of espresso, divided
2 cups vegan vanilla ice cream
¼ cup tahini
Ice cubes
For topping:
Vegan whipped cream
2 tablespoons roughly chopped coffee beans
What you do:
- In a medium heatproof bowl over a pan of gently simmering water, add 3 tablespoons chocolate and 2 tablespoons espresso, and stir to combine. Once chocolate has melted, use a spoon to smear mixture around inside of 2 serving glasses.
- Into a blender, add ice cream, tahini, remaining espresso, and 12 ice cubes and blend until smooth. Pour shake into serving glasses. Top with whipped cream, coffee beans, and remaining chocolate.
