San Antonio Businesses Team Up to Open Vegan Eatery

Food establishment Munch On and Beyond—a collection of grab-and-go meals, snacks, desserts, and drinks offered by a partnership of five local businesses—will open July 17 in San Antonio, TX. Items offered include tea from My Tea Soul; gluten-free burgers, tacos and ice cream from Enlighten Veggie Food; tamales from Viva Vegeria; and resale items from Golden Horn of Plenty—which donates profits to area dog rescue centers. Munch On and Beyond owner Chris Suave expressed his gratitude to collaborators and said that “we all know each other and have worked with each other, and we all share the same vision: to support a growing culture of sustainability through food, to give back to the local community and help the city.” For its grand opening, the business will give out free samples of cookies, miniature tacos, tofu jerky, and ceviche.
