This week, Dallas-based franchise chain Smoothie King added a Vegan Pumpkin Smoothie to its menu nationwide. The new smoothie is made with Califia Farms Oat Milk—which can be substituted in place of dairy in any smoothie on the chain’s menu—and a blend of pumpkin purée, bananas, dates, Sunwarrior organic plant-based protein, a blend of spices, and stevia plant-based sweetener.
“Fall is such a busy time of year, and Smoothie King’s new pumpkin smoothies are the perfect, on-the-go beverages to help guests enjoy the season,” Smoothie King Chief Marketing Officer Rebecca Miller said. “Each smoothie is purposefully blended with organic pumpkin and zero artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives—providing guests with much-needed, cleaner alternatives to satisfy their pumpkin fix no matter what their health goals are.”
On September 1, competing smoothie chain Jamba debuted a vegan version of its seasonal Pumpkin Smash Smoothie made with a blend of pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg, blended with Oatly oat milk and So Delicious Oatmilk ice cream.
