Starbucks Philippines recently launched its first vegan menu in an effort to meet the demand for plant-based options. The menu features vegan Sinless Chocolate Cake with dark chocolate avocado, strawberry filling, and dark chocolate frosting; French toast-style peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with strawberry and blueberry jam; dark chocolate bars; and Oh So Healthy fruit chips. The new options are available at all Starbucks locations in the Philippines for a limited time. If successful, the coffeehouse chain plans to add the vegan chocolate cake and peanut butter and jelly sandwich to its permanent menu. Thus far, Starbucks is continuously selling out of the cake, according to customer reports. Last week, select Starbucks locations in the United Kingdom also added new vegan options such as Vegan Mac that includes a combination of vegan cheese, butternut squash, and greens; and an All Day Breakfast Burrito that features scrambled tofu wrapped in a spinach-infused tortilla.
