Six months after the long-awaited US launch, the nut-based milk option is finally available at Starbucks locations in the United Kingdom.

Starbucks officially introduced almond milk at its locations in the United Kingdom last week. UK customers can now choose from a variety of plant-based milks at the coffeehouse—including coconut and soy. The dairy-free sector is booming in the UK, as evidenced by the recent addition of plant-based milk—a first for the product—to Britain’s “shopping basket” (a measure of the most popular consumer spending trends). Starbucks first introduced almond milk to its 4,600 US locations in September last year and has since been experimenting with using the milk to concoct new (not always vegan-friendly) drinks, including the most-recent addition, Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato. Starbucks also debuted its first all-vegan breakfast option—a combination of grains soaked overnight in coconut milk—to 600 New York locations in February.
