Of course, Coachella is all about the music and the iconic fits. But let’s be honest, it’s also about the food and drink.

This year, festival-goers can munch on plenty of vegan options, including veganized Taco Bell favorites from Cena Vegan and plant-based charcuterie from Maciel’s (intrigued? Yep, the iconic, colorful drink that dominated social media back in 2017 is returning for Coachella 2026. There is a slight catch, though: it’s only available inside the festival at the Starbucks Coffeehouse.

This marks the first time Starbucks—Coachella’s official coffee, tea, and refreshers sponsor—has hosted a coffeehouse inside the festival grounds.

“Music has always been a powerful connector at Starbucks, and Coachella brings people together through music, creativity, and self-expression,” said Erin Silvoy, Senior Vice president of Global Marketing at Starbucks. “We’re excited to make our Coachella debut in a way that feels authentic to who we are.”

Is Starbucks’ Unicorn Frappuccino dairy-free?

According to the coffee giant, the Unicorn Frappuccino is making a comeback for one key reason: it perfectly suits the festival vibe.

In case you weren’t chronically online or frequenting Starbucks in 2017, here’s a refresher on the iconic drink. It features a swirl of pink and purple hues, topped with colorful sprinkles. The base is made with mango syrup cream, layered with blue sour drizzle and classic syrup, and finished with whipped cream and a dusting of powder.

When it was first introduced in 2017, baristas took to Reddit to confirm it could be made dairy-free. One wrote in a thread: “I work at Starbucks. Order it with a non-dairy milk, no whip, and ask for some extra blue powder inside the cup instead of the sour blue drizzle. The blue powder is vegan and is what makes the blue drizzle sour-tasting.”

Not sold on the Unicorn Frappuccino? Starbucks’ Coachella Coffeehouse will also offer several other beverages that can easily be ordered dairy-free (if they’re not already), including iced matcha lattes, cold brew, and the Strawberry Açaí Refresher.

If you’re not attending Coachella this year, don’t worry. The coffee giant has rolled out several veganizable options for spring nationwide, including a Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew, a Toasted Coconut Latte, and an Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato.
