Starbucks’ Spring Menu Is Packed With Dairy-Free Drinks

Starbucks’ spring menu features new and returning drinks like toasted coconut, ube, and lavender—and are all easy to make dairy-free with plant-based milk.

Spring is poking its head around the corner, and that means preparing Easter baskets, enjoying longer evenings outside, and finally leaving that winter jacket at home. It also means it’s time for a new Starbucks menu. This year, whether you prefer an iced latte in the sunshine or like to keep things hot all year round, there are plenty of dairy-free options to choose from.

Launching March 3, the new Starbucks spring menu additions include a Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew, a Toasted Coconut Latte, and an Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato.

A spokesperson for the chain confirmed to VegNews that all of the new drinks contain dairy-free syrups, meaning the drinks can easily be made vegan by switching to a plant-based milk.

The spring menu also features returning favorites like the Iced Lavender Latte and the Lavender Crème Frappuccino. Once again, all can be made vegan by swapping in a plant-based milk such as soy, oat, almond, or coconut.

On top of this, Starbucks is offering non-dairy cold foams in lavender, toasted coconut, and ube flavors.

The Iced Lavender Cream Matcha is also back, and it’s dairy-free, too. This marks a big step forward for dairy-free diners. When Starbucks first launched its lavender oat milk lattes in 2024, the Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha wasn’t dairy-free due to its sweet cream topping.

Customers will also find the new Iced Lavender Cream Chai on the chain’s spring menu. While this drink can be made dairy-free, it cannot be made vegan as Starbucks’ chai still contains honey.

Starbucks embraces dairy-free options

Ordering a vegan drink at Starbucks is easier than ever. In 2024, the company dropped its dairy-free surcharge, for example.

“Core to the Starbucks experience is the ability to customize your beverage to make it yours,” Starbucks CEO and chairman Brian Niccol said in a statement at the time. “By removing the extra charge for non-dairy milks, we’re embracing all the ways our customers enjoy their Starbucks.”

Beyond the new spring additions, several drinks at the coffee giant are either already vegan or can be made vegan with minimal adjustments. Many of the chain’s flavorings are vegan-friendly, including strawberry purée sauce, toffee nut syrup, coffee syrup, and vanilla powder. Customers can also opt for a variety of add-ins and toppings, such as freeze-dried fruit and caramel sugar.

If you’re hungry, the vegan food options are limited, but the Spicy Falafel Pocket is a reliable choice. Added to the menu in 2025, it features flatbread, smashed falafel, hummus, peppers, pickled onions, and a spicy herb sauce.
