Starbucks Launches Vegan Dessert Bars 

Cocoa cookies topped with nut butter, chocolate, and nuts will arrive at Starbucks UK next week with a possible debut in the United States to follow.

Starting March 7, Starbucks locations in the United Kingdom will debut two new vegan dessert bars, according to media outlet Vegan Food UK. The Pistachio Butter Bar and Almond Butter Bar both feature a cocoa and coconut cookie base that is topped with nut butter (pistachio and almond, respectively) and a layer of chocolate finished with a topping of nuts (pistachio and toasted almond, respectively). The new bars will be available at Starbucks locations in the UK starting March 7. A pricing sticker on the photographs of the new items indicates a placement for “USD” which might indicate plans to bring the new treats to the United States soon. Earlier this month, almond milk-based versions of Starbucks’ popular bottled Frappuccinos began hitting store shelves across the US.
