This week, international coffee chain Starbucks will add a vegan pumpkin spice cookie to its menu in the United Kingdom, local media outlet Vegan Food UK reports. The new cookie will complement existing vegan fall menu items at Starbucks UK. In 2018, Starbucks removed dairy products from its Pumpkin Sauce with Spice Flavorings in Europe, allowing customers to order a fully vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte. In October, Starbucks will also add vegan whipped cream to its UK menus.

Stateside, while Starbucks has improved its vegan beverage options over the years, the chain has yet to develop a vegan alternative to its pumpkin spice mix (which contains dairy). When it comes to food, Starbucks is currently testing Miyoko’s Creamery’s cashew-based vegan cream cheese in two flavors (Everything and Cinnamon Raisin) on the menu at one location in Issaquah, WA.
