Comedian Steve Harvey adopted a plant-based diet in January with the help of Beyoncé and Jay-Z. On a recent episode of his self-titled television show, Harvey welcomed nutritionist Marco Borges—who co-founded vegan meal service 22 Days Nutrition with Beyoncé. Borges is also behind The Greenprint, a multi-pronged plant-based campaign that includes an online resource, book, documentary, and creative giveaway—where one person can win a lifetime of Beyoncé and Jay-Z concert tickets by signing up with the campaign. “I kid you not … I have the cholesterol levels of an infant,” Harvey said about transitioning to a plant-based diet. “My cholesterol numbers are lower than my cardiologist’s numbers.” During the show, Harvey engaged the audience in building excitement around veganism and called upon a non-vegan audience member to sample the cauliflower wings Borges prepared for the segment. “You can eat your way healthy,” Harvey said. “You are what you eat.”
