Current number one men’s singles tennis champion Novak Djokovic and wife Jelena Djokovic opened vegan restaurant Eqvita Sunday in Monaco’s posh principality of Monte Carlo. In attendance were fellow tennis players Andy Murray, Tomas Berdych, and Grigor Dimitrov. The grand opening featured champagne and vegan appetizers, while menu items include salads, wraps, lasagna, and a variety of desserts such as Mango Cheesecake, Tapioca Brulée, and Double Chocolate Cake. The Serbian-born tennis star revealed that Eqvita is the materialization of a passion he and his wife share for healthy food. “Eqvita is more than a restaurant; it’s a story,” Djokovic said. “A love story to be precise.”
