The UK’s The Guardian has taken note of the rising tide of veganism overseas in a recent article highlighting the best vegetarian cities in Britain. The news source notes that Glasgow, Scotland’s longstanding reputation as a hotbed of radical politics made it an ideal candidate for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ “Most Vegan-Friendly City in the United Kingdom” award. England’s Liverpool, Manchester, and Bristol are also home to vegan activist groups such as Scouseveg and Viva! and have their fair share of cruelty-free eateries including Beatroot Café and V-Revolution. Also according to The Guardian, plant-based eaters will never lack dining options in the Motherland’s capital city of London, which hosts over 130 completely vegetarian restaurants.
