Tofurky Sandwiches Now Available to Diplomats in UK

Grab-and-go vegan Tofurky sandwiches are now available to diplomats who visit the United Kingdom Foreign & Commonwealth Office café. Vegan British Consul General Harriet Cross tweeted the news this week along with a photo of a shelf stocked with two styles of sandwiches: Ham Style Salad with Whole Grain Mustard and Chik’n and Sweet Corn. Last year, Tofurky partnered with vegan cheese brand Violife and British wholesalers to launch its grab-and-go sandwich line at Whole Foods Markets throughout the UK with tentative plans to launch a similar line in the United States. Cross, originally from Boston, MA, celebrated Thanksgiving with several vegan mainstays, including centerpieces made by Field Roast and Tofurky—which sold its 5-millionth roast this holiday season.
