Tropical Smoothie Café Will Offer Beyond Meat

Tropical Smoothie Café will now serve Beyond Meat’s faux products in the restaurant’s wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads. The national smoothie chain, which has more than 300 locations in 36 states, specializes in fruity concoctions with names such as Kiwi Quencher, Pineapple Delight, and Lean Machine. Beyond Meat founder Ethan Brown expressed enthusiasm at the newfound partnership in a recent press release. This is not the first business deal Brown has brokered to make his product available to the public—he has also procured financial backing from Twitter co-founders Biz Stone and Evan Williams.
