Cinnamon bun Oreos are back

In 2016, Oreo blessed cinnamon bun fans everywhere with cinnamon-flavored cookies that tasted just like the beloved sweet treat. Two golden wafers plus cinnamon bun-flavored creme made for a match made in heaven. If you’ve been missing your Cinnamon Bun Oreo fix, you’ll be thrilled to learn they’re returning to store shelves. Keep an eye out from July 6—but be quick, because once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Organic dairy-free banana bread creamers hit stores

If you’re more of a banana bread person, then don’t worry, we have something for you, too. Popular dairy-free creamery Forager Project has launched three new dairy-free creamers in Banana Bread, Golden Salted Caramel, and Mexican Chocolate. Made with coconut cream, cashews, and oats, they’re creamy, organic, and so rich in flavor you’ll never want plain old vanilla ever again.

“Rather than simply replicating traditional dairy flavors, we looked to flavor profiles and taste traditions from around the world that could deliver warmth, nostalgia, and discovery,” said Stephen Williamson, co-founder and CEO of Forager Project.

“At Forager Project, we’re making it easy for people to choose plants over cows, without compromising on flavor. Whether you’re pouring over ice or stirring into something hot, our creamers are meant to make daily rituals feel a little less routine.”

Better Than ButterBetter Than Butter

A new Japanese woman-owned vegan butter brand is hitting shelves nationwide

But not the one you think. The latest entry in the growing dairy-free spread market? Better Than Butter, created by Japanese entrepreneur Midori Ogino. The product, which is about to launch at Misfits Market, is made with just six ingredients, including coconut and sea salt, but it’s every bit as rich and functional as its dairy counterpart.

“I didn’t come to America to sell a vegan product,” said Ogino. “I came because I love butter. The problem was that the plant butters available didn’t taste like butter, didn’t perform like butter, or came with ingredient lists. I wouldn’t feel good serving my family. So we built something different.”

Better Than Butter will launch at Misfits Market stores on the West Coast first, then expand nationwide later this year.

Cult-favorite pop-up Vegan Vato opens a storefront in New Mexico

Vegan Vato isn’t strictly New Mexican, Mexican, or Californian. Instead, this popular Albuquerque spot blends all three influences—hence its full name, Vegan Vato NewMexiCali Eatz. The business started as a food truck before moving into the Imperial Hotel as a food pod. In June, it branched out on its own with the soft opening of a new storefront in Albuquerque’s Old Town.

Reserve a table at its new location to feast on everything from the NM Cali Burrito to the Vato Burger (made with an Impossible Burger, green chile, and queso) to the Philly Plate with seitan mushroom asada.

The super-realistic Beyond Steak is now at Wegmans

Last week, we reported that Beyond Steak had hit H-E-B stores, and now we’re excited to give you another update: The best-selling vegan meat is at Wegmans, too. Launched in 2025 for foodservice, this is the first time the popular steak has been available in stores.

“I believe Beyond Steak Filet is our most compelling center-of-the-plate innovation since the Beyond Burger,” said Ethan Brown, Founder and CEO of Beyond Meat. “The product marks the introduction of the powerhouse ingredient mycelium into our portfolio and delivers 28 grams of clean protein with just 1 gram of saturated fat from avocado oil.”

“Whereas consumers are typically advised to limit their consumption of steak, the remarkable nutritional profile of Beyond Steak Filet means you can turn any meal into a steak occasion.”

Malk Organics and Kith Treats collaborate on two new dairy-free milkshakes

If you live near one of Kith Treats’ 11 mainland US locations (sorry, Hawaii, this one doesn’t include you yet), you’re now in dairy-free milkshake heaven. The chain has teamed up with MALK Organics to launch two new Malkshakes.

The first is the Cool Breeze Colada, made with non-dairy vanilla ice cream, Frosted Flakes, pineapple jam, fresh pineapple chunks, coconut flakes, and MALK Coconut Milk. Just note that Frosted Flakes aren’t vegan, so you’ll need to order yours without them to make it fully animal-free.

There’s also the Sunset Sour, made with almond butter, almond extract, a lemon soft frosty cookie, Honey Bunches of Oats, MALK Almond Milk, non-dairy vanilla ice cream, almond cold foam, roasted almond slices, freeze-dried lemon, and a maraschino cherry. Again, you’ll need to make modifications to make it vegan, including removing the cereal and the cookie.
