Vegan Ad Campaign Sweeps Ireland

A series of pro-vegan advertisements featuring farmed animals appeared on billboards, universities, and public transit throughout Ireland during the month of November. Eden Farmed Animal Sanctuary and vegan education center Matilda’s Promise joined forces to create the public ad campaign designed to “counteract speciesism at the levels of individual prejudice and the socio-cultural norm.” One ad displays the message “a mother’s love is not less just because she is not human” over a picture of a cow and her calf and all ads provide the public with a direct link to a free vegan kit. Organizers believe this campaign will be “an effective way of reaching a large population of non-vegans.”
