California-based vegan fast-casual chain Veggie Grill recently launched a catering program that serves groups of any size for any occasion. From a casual office lunch to a birthday party, the chain offers an extensive menu of party platters, including appetizers such as vegan wings served with celery sticks, buffalo sauce, and ranch dipping sauce; salads such as kale salad with vegan bacon, avocado, cucumber, croutons, and parmesan cheese; and burgers and sandwiches such as the Santa Fe Crispy Chick’n Sandwich with vegan fried chicken, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mashed avocado, and chipotle mayo on a wheat roll. The chain also offers individual boxed lunches that feature a choice of a sandwich, potato chips, and a chocolate chip cookie. All catering items are served in recyclable and compostable containers. Catering orders are currently available online or at any one of its 33 locations in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, or Washington and the chain plans to offer delivery through third-party services in the coming months. Last month, Veggie Grill announced plans to expand to 50 locations in the next two years, including at select universities nationwide with the help of food-service provider Sodexo.
