Vegan CrossFit athlete Jeremy Reijnders became the first vegan to grace the cover of Men’s Health Netherlands. In the August issue of the magazine, 23-year-old Reijnders explained that he went vegan in 2015 after watching documentary Forks Over Knives. “Of course, I was already involved with nutrition as an athlete, but after that documentary I started to think more about what animal products did to my body,” Reijnders said. “I got more energy; it was as if I could think more clearly.” Reijnders and his team recently placed second at the regionals in Berlin, qualifying for the CrossFit games in Madison, WI next month. “I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to be on the cover of the @menshealthnl and to share and show my message,” Reijnders captioned on a photo that he shared on Instagram. “Being vegan doesn’t limit your health and athletic potential,” he concluded.
