A 1,500 square foot warehouse in Maplewood Village, NJ will soon house a unique vegan experience. In February, proprietors Kim and John Profaci will bring two businesses together into one space—virtual gaming concept Greens Indoor Golf with vegan restaurant The Conscious Fork. In the back of the space, customers will be able to play on 50 golf courses around the world via a large screen and sensors that analyze the movement from every swing. In the front, New York-based vegan eatery The Conscious Fork will serve a whole-foods, plant-based menu—with ingredients sourced locally from the Hudson Valley—complete with globally inspired salads, sandwiches, soups, grain bowls, wellness shots, smoothies, and juices. Kim Profaci says this is a novel concept that will bring together health and fitness under one roof. “We’re excited about creating a space in town where people can come year round to be active and fill themselves with delicious food and drink,” Profaci says, “which just so happens to be good for you.”
