Miley Cyrus Debuts Vegan Gay Pride Converse Collection

Vegan musician Miley Cyrus designed this year’s Converse Pride Collection. The vegan apparel line includes a variety of shoes and festival-wear featuring rainbow designs, polka dots, and celebratory glitter. Pieces in the collection—including high-top sneakers with a rainbow-colored platform sole—are stamped with Cyrus’ “HH” logo that represents the singers Happy Hippie Foundation, a social-justice organization the vegan singer started to support homeless and LGBTQ youth. The Converse Pride x Miley collection is part of a broader campaign to raise awareness during Pride Month that includes empowering posters the brand will promote on social media in June. “There is so much that attempts to separate our beautiful and diverse queer community,” Rooney Donnelly, one of the campaign’s illustrators, said. “The reality is that we are so much stronger together. We belong together. Festivals and parades aside, pride to me means unity.” Earlier this year Cyrus, who identifies as pansexual, debuted her first collaboration with Converse—a 38-piece unisex apparel line with hand-drawn designs.
