Next month, twin brothers David and Stephen Flynn of vegetarian food brand and café The Happy Pear will open a fourth café location inside Dublin Airport’s Terminal 1. The café will open in partnership with global food-service group HMSHost International and will be located beyond the security screening area of the terminal. It will offer a range of vegan-friendly food to-go, including sandwiches, salads, soups, and hot food bowls. The café will also serve Happy Pear pesto and hummus products and hand-roasted coffee. “Our new Dublin Airport café is an amazing opportunity to be able to encourage people to eat more fruit and veg and to make eating healthier, easier, and more accessible while on the move,” the Flynn brothers said. “We’re proud that we can say that our entire product range will be made from natural ingredients with no artificial preservatives, colors, or flavourings.” The airport café will use fully compostable take-out containers, cutlery, and straws, and will donate surplus food to local charities through Ireland-based food redistribution charity FoodCloud.
