Charismatic 6-year-old Charity Joy Harrison, a first-time Girl Scout-cookie seller, explained in a recent video that Thin Mints are vegan. “So we’re going to be talking about cookies today,” Harrison said. “Hey vegans, we have some Thin Mints for you. So, my mom is a v … vegan, she loves Thin Mints.” Harrison initially made the video to help meet her goal of selling 1,300 boxes this season, but a second viral video—in which Harrison and her father Seymore Harrison Jr. parody popular song “Redbone” by Childish Gambino—has helped her sell more than 3,500 boxes. “You need to buy these really good cookies,” Harrison concluded, “especially the vegans. Even if you’re not a vegan, you can still buy some Thin Mints if you’re a fan of [them].” Last year, The Girl Scouts of the United States of America added the S’mores flavor to its vegan cookie lineup, which also includes Thanks-A-Lots, Lemonades, and Peanut Butter Patties—the vegan versions of which are made by ABC Bakers.
