California-based vegan chain Veggie Grill recently announced its Holiday Feast menu. From now until December 20, customers can indulge in a four-serving decadent feast ($74.95)—which features a stuffed holiday roast, cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed yams, cauliflower mashed potatoes, porcini mushroom gravy, and cranberry sauce—that can be ordered for delivery (by November 17 for Thanksgiving). Guests can order additional sides for $12.95 each and add a four-pack of pumpkin cakes for $15.95 each. Additionally, the Holiday Plate ($12.95) will be available in-store (and for delivery) from November 22 to December 25 and features items from the feast served as a seasonal menu item. Starting November 1, Veggie Grill will also serve a Thanksgiving Sandwich ($11.50) made with plant-based rosemary chicken with cornbread dressing, creamy mushroom gravy, cranberry sauce, and Vegenaise, and served with mashed yams. “Plant-based eating is a growing trend and Veggie Grill continues to look for new ways to make each dish bold and innovative,” Veggie Grill CEO Steve Heeley told VegNews. “Plant-based eaters will definitely be satisfied by the new seasonal offerings at Veggie Grill and no longer be relegated to plain sides during the holidays.” After securing a $22 million investment in 2016, the 31-outpost chain has embarked on a nationwide expansion with the next location planned for New York City’s Flatiron district in spring 2019.
