Today, iconic hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan released the first episode of the web series “Wu-Tang in Space Eating Impossible Sliders,” a campaign to promote White Castle’s vegan-friendly Impossible Slider. In September, the group directed its Instagram followers to a hotline set up to ask them “questions about existence.” The first episode—“Moon Fight”—features Wu-Tang member and long-time vegan RZA, as well as GZA and Ghostface Killah, in a “Wu-FO” spaceship answering the questions from followers who called in. “We are on an interstellar quest to spread earthly love, seek new perspectives, and pine our world for the knowledge infinite,” RZA says in the episode. “Respect to you earthlings who have actual questions; today we reveal the answers.” The Wu-Tang Clan is also seen eating Impossible Sliders while watching aliens fight on the moon. Last month, White Castle announced the expansion of their Impossible Slider—which is made with Impossible Foods’ vegan Impossible Burger patty and can be ordered vegan by omitting cheese—to all of its 377 locations across the United States. Three more episodes of the Wu-Tang Clan’s web series are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
