You Can Now Smoke a Joint While Eating Vegan Nachos at Miley Cyrus-Backed Cannabis Café in CA

Tomorrow, Lowell Farms: A Cannabis Café will open as a first-of-its kind eatery where cannabis can be consumed with food in West Hollywood, CA. The new eatery—which counts vegan singer Miley Cyrus, comedians Sarah Silverman and Chris Rock, and music producer Mark Ronson as investors—will feature a menu of edibles infused with cannabis (made by an off-site company), pre-rolled joints, oils, and vaporizer pens which customers can use inside of the eatery and on its outdoor patio. “We are thrilled to have such talented artists join our investment round, and we welcome them to the Lowell family,” David Elias, Lowell co-founder and CEO, said. “We are grateful to have such strong support from the creative community, and we are all looking forward to the end of cannabis prohibition.” Lowell Farms, which will not serve alcohol, will offer a tableside joint-rolling service carried out by “Flower Hosts” or “budtenders” and charges a $20 “tok-age” fee if customers choose to bring their own cannabis. While Lowell Farms is prohibited by the state of California to infuse its food offerings with cannabis, chef Andrea Drummer created a full food menu that pairs with the cafe’s smokables, including vegan options such as nachos topped with cauliflower and cashew-based cheese. To filter smoke from the air, Lowell installed a top-of-the line ventilation system that relies on charcoal and air-filtering plants.
