Oreo recently announced cinnamon bun as the new flavor being added to its lineup of vegan-friendly sandwich cookies. The cookies with “cinnamon bun and frosting flavored creme” will be available starting this week and join fan-favorite red velvet Oreos as permanent fixtures of the Oreo line. The new additions mark the beginning of a new campaign by the company called the “Wonder Vault,” which will introduce new specialty flavors throughout the year (previous limited edition flavors have included s’mores, caramel apple, brownie batter, cotton candy, and watermelon). Oreo’s parent company Mondelez is reaping the benefits of these new innovations, as it announced early in 2015 that it sold more than $2.5 billion worth of the cookies in 2014, an increase of $1 billion from the previous year. Most Oreo cookies—including the classic variety—are vegan.
