Vegan baking show Bake Vegan Stuff With Sara Kidd is premiering on YouTube on January 23 in partnership with the month-long Veganuary campaign. Hosted by vegan cake designer and baker Sara Kidd, the vibrant, retro-themed series will teach viewers how to make vegan cakes, muffins, pastries, and cookies with ease. The 15-minute episodes will air every Wednesday for the month of January and beyond, with a total of 24 episodes in the first season. Each episode will come with a dedicated web page that includes the recipe and baking notes for viewers. “I was inspired to create this because I wanted to prove there’s a demand for vegan content,” Kidd told VegNews. “Once I have an audience on YouTube, I can pitch to mainstream platforms like Netflix.” Vegan-related television content has grown in recent years. Last fall, popular baking show The Great British Bake-Off hosted its first-ever vegan week complete with meringues, tarts, and layered cakes. Last week, game show Jeopardy! quizzed contestants with an all-vegan category of questions in the form of answers.
