Even with time on our hands, making pie from scratch is not always something we look forward to. It’s a labor of love, and sometimes, culinary disaster strikes and the pie does not love you back. Even if you do attempt a pie this year, it’s always safe to have a backup. From traditional pumpkin to silky sweet potato, these seven bakeries will ship a vegan pie, or two, straight to your door.

1. Giselle’s Vegan Kitchen
Let’s give thanks to a brand new bakery that opened during the pandemic. This allergen-friendly Orange County, CA baker took the leap at a brick-and-mortar in September, and it’s now shipping its delectable pies nationwide. We simply cannot choose between the Apple Crumb, key lime, pumpkin, or pecan.

2. Vegan Soul Bakery
You’ll click on the link for pie, but you’ll end up with so much more in your virtual cart after a quick look at this Baltimore, MD bakery’s options. Definitely snag a lattice-topped apple and a silky sweet potato pie, but keep scrolling for chocolate frosted brownies, cinnamon rolls, and buttermilk biscuits.

3. Achatz Handmade Pie Co.
This vegan-friendly pie shop nails the classics. The five vegan options—Northern Spy Apple Pie, cherry, blueberry, strawberry rhubarb, and Michigan 4-Berry—all feature a buttery and flaky double crust and a generous amount of sweet fruit filling. They’re incredible on their own and only improve with a mound of vegan vanilla ice cream.

There’s always one non-conformist at the holiday table. In lieu of traditional pumpkin or pecan pie, they just want the à la mode. There’s also the chocoholic who doesn’t “do” fruit desserts. To appease both parties, order the Vegan Chocolate Chocolate Ice Cream Pie from this Austin, TX-based scoop shop. With four layers of chocolate (cookie crust, ice cream, sauce, and shavings), the chocolate lovers politely picking at their pumpkin pie will be elated.

5. Sweet Laurel Bakery
No matter what our dietary preference or allergen restrictions are, we can all come together over this paleo, vegan, and gluten-free apple crumb pie. While a lot is left out ingredient-wise, the bakers at Sweet Laurel have kept the flavor in. The only fighting going on at the table will be over who gets the last slice.

6. Erin McKenna’s Bakery
Need a pie for the allergen-averse? The queen of allergen-friendly baked goods (seriously, she launched in 2005) is shipping her holiday pies across the United States. Both the pumpkin and Dutch apple are vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free. You can’t taste it, though—we can tolerate gluten just fine and will go out of our way just for a slice of Erin McKenna’s mouthwatering pies. For the cake aficionados, drop a Pumpkin Crumb Cake in your virtual cart so every guest is satisfied.

7. Vegan Treats Bakery
We’re taking liberties here—this Bethlehem, PA bakery doesn’t ship pies, but it does ship its super-stuffed whoopie pies. One bite of the decadent Chocolate Vanilla or moist Pumpkin and Cream Cheese handhold will convert you into a whoopie pie family for years to come.
