Global coffee chain Starbucks recently added vegan meat from Impossible Foods to its menu in Singapore. The new items include the Impossible Pasta Salad Bowl and the Impossible Pie. The pasta bowl features fusilli pasta, broccoli, French beans, baby corn, cherry tomatoes, and plant-based Impossible meatballs in a soy-sesame dressing. The savory vegetarian pie features plant-based Impossible ground meat, pickles, tomato sauce, and dairy cheese wrapped in butter-based short-crust pastry. The Impossible menu items are available in stores and through participating food delivery apps such as Deliveroo, Foodpanda, and GrabFood.

“We know our customers are increasingly interested in plant-based food and beverage choices, and we’re excited to bring these innovative new additions to our menu,” Patrick Kwok, general manager, Starbucks Singapore, said.  “These delicious dishes join a range of food choices available at Starbucks in Singapore, and pair wonderfully with our handcrafted beverages.  In addition to our two plant-based core food items, we are looking forward to expanding our beverage menu with plant-based options in the coming months as well.”

The menu items follow last month’s introduction of the limited-edition vegetarian Impossible Rendang Pie, a locally inspired twist on a Starbucks classic, featuring plant-based Impossible ground meat slow-cooked in rendang gravy with carrots, edamame, potatoes, and egg in a butter shortbread pastry. The Impossible items build on Starbucks’ sustainability commitment, which it announced in January and includes expanding plant-based options for a more environmentally friendly menu at its locations globally.
