Ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s is delighting The Tonight Show fans with its newest dairy-free flavor: The Tonight Dough Starring Jimmy Fallon. A vegan take on the original, the new flavor is made with an almond milk ice cream base in caramel and chocolate flavors that features a chocolate cookie swirl and gobs of both chocolate chip and peanut butter cookie dough. Fallon announced the new vegan flavor, which will retail for $4.39 to $5.99 per pint, during last night’s episode of the show.

Ben & Jerry’s non-dairy flavors

In 2016, Ben & Jerry’s first entered the non-dairy market with the launch of four almond milk-based flavors: PB & Cookies, Coffee Caramel Fudge, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Chunky Monkey. Since then, Ben & Jerry’s has created vegan versions of many of its popular flavors, including Cherry Garcia, Cinnamon Buns, and Peanut Butter Half Baked. Outside of its almond milk-based offerings, the brand has also developed an innovative sunflower butter base which it uses for four vegan flavors: “Milk” & Cookies, Crème Brûlée Cookie, Mint Chocolate Cookie, and Change the Whirld (a flavor created in partnership with activist Colin Kaepernick to support the racial justice efforts of his Know Your Rights Camp organization).

In 2021, Ben & Jerry’s launched vegan versions of fan-favorites, including Phish Food, Karamel Sutra (its first vegan flavor in its Core line), and Stephen Colbert’s AmeriCone Dream. With the launch of The Tonight Dough Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ben & Jerry’s now offers 19 vegan flavors.
