It appears George Bush has had a change of heart regarding environmental preservation while on his way out of the Oval Office. The soon-to-be former president announced he has plans to create three marine national monuments in the Pacific Ocean to help safeguard 195,280 square miles of sprawling sea and its delicate ecosystems lush with rich marine life. Even though Bush’s last-minute eco-friendly spirit doesn’t do much to reverse his weak environmental record over the past eight years, it’s better late than never.
