Starting today, pizza chain UNO Pizzeria & Grill—known as the birthplace of Chicago-style deep-dish pizza—will serve a new “Love All, Feed All” supplemental menu at its 85 locations in 19 states nationwide. “This is a drastic modernization and expansion of our menu and its first major overhaul in decades,” UNO Pizzeria & Grill CEO Jim Ilaria said. “While we are famous for inventing the deep-dish pizza—and have served it to generations of fans since 1943—we are thrilled to now offer a wider variety of options so everyone can walk through our doors confident they will enjoy a tasty meal regardless of their dietary interests.” The new menu was created in partnership with vegan brands Beyond Meat and Daiya Foods, and features five options: two salads, two pizzas, and one burger. “I am incredibly proud of this new menu, one that will appeal to a broad range of new guests thanks partly to plant-based offerings from Beyond Meat and Daiya Foods,” commented UNO’s Executive Chef Andre Fuehr. “We have always taken great pride in creating quality dishes and handcrafted dough made from scratch every day. Now everyone, regardless of dietary preferences or needs, can experience our unique and delicious meals.” Larger chains are adapting to the increasing demand for vegan options, including Pizza Hut which will begin testing a plant-based sausage topping from MorningStar Farms’ new Incogmeato line at a single Phoenix location tomorrow.
