Supermodel Gisele Bündchen is pictured wearing a faux fur coat on the August issue of French Vogue—an issue the iconic fashion publication is dedicating to animals. Bündchen announced her cover appearance on Instagram last week, stating “So happy that @vogueparis dedicated this issue to animal protection, sending a strong message that wearing real fur is never an option.” Inside of the new issue, Bündchen appears in a feature that highlights the top 10 faux furs currently on the market. Further animal-friendly coverage in the issue includes a spotlight on ethical fashion pioneer and vegan designer Stella McCartney—who recently partnered with recycling company Parley for the Oceans to make shoes with repurposed plastic and fishing nets gathered from the ocean. While not vegan, Bündchen and her famed football player husband Tom Brady—who famously sold vegan nut snacks for $50 under his merchandising brand TB12—follow a plant-based diet, which they both publicly credit for their continued good health.
