A two-day Vegan Christmas Market is coming to Gloucester, United Kingdom next month. The event will include more than 60 vendors selling cruelty-free food and eco-conscious gifts, such as dairy-free ice cream from Ice Green, vegan wine from Tipple on Tap, sandwiches from Badgers Vegan Kitchen, beauty products from Pure V, and handmade nut and seed butters from Butterbelle. The market will also include all-day craft and storytime areas, and a visit from Santa Claus, who will be handing out dairy-free chocolate and wooden toys to families. Vegan Events Gloucestershire founders Katie Lawrence and Naomi Bayle organized the first Vegan Christmas Market in 2017 after being inspired by vegan markets in surrounding cities. “I wanted to do one on my own doorstep, so I gave a shout-out to other local vegans to see if they would like one in Gloucester, too, and I had lots of positive feedback,” Lawrence told VegNews. “We decided to do one that tied in with Christmas so people could buy lovely vegan and ethical Christmas gifts while enjoying vegan food and drinks.” In 2018, Vegan Events Gloucestershire also hosted a vegan Easter Fete, a Vegan Hippy Market, and a Veganism Rocks music event, all aimed at attracting new people who might not consider attending a typical vegan food fair.
